Development commissioner Vivek Singh published data on Bihar Caste survey amid petition is pending in Supreme court.
According to survey Bihar has 36% Extremely Backward Class, 27.13% Other Backward Class,19.65% are Scheduled Caste, 1.6% Schedule tribes,14% Yadavs, 3% Musahars and 3.65% Brahmins.
Detailed analysis of data is still under process but it has again raised the slogan ” jiski jitni sankhya bhari ,uski utni hissedari”.
Detailed analysis will reveal how much wealth is concentrated in how much number of population? Is 3.65% Brahmins have wealth or economic resources according to their population. Although under article 39(b) of the constitution,no concentration of wealth in fewer hands is mentioned.
However Bihar is a centre of social justice based politics. Thus let us see whether proper distribution of resources will be possible or not?
