On the third day of the special session, Rahul Gandhi urges for caste census and raises the issue of inclusion of OBC women in women reservation bill. He reiterated on the number of OBC secretary out of 90 central government secretaries.
He said that OBCs are under-represented in the central secretary posts. He again said that OBC has a control over the 5% of the total budget only while OBC comprises a large share of the population. He emphasised upon socio-economic caste census done under the UPA-II government in 2011 and urges for releasing the data.
